    ... stops and momentous events.
    On to Montgomery, AL and then Tues. June 2nd we were in Aiken, SC where we visited our dear "old" friends Bob & Bonnie Nowak. Always so nice to spend time with them - sharing news of families & friends. Weather was a little threatening, so decided to forgo a day of golf, and we headed for home a day early!

    ... beautiful flowering dogwoods along the creek. Across the bridge, I turned right to follow the loop in the counterclockwise direction. Hiking downstream along Campbell Creek, the spring scenery was beautiful. The leaves were starting to bud on the trees and there a number of wildflowers poking out through the forest floor.     ... in the northern part of the Indian River Lagoon. There were many varieties of beautiful birds i.e. the anhinga, spoonbill wading bird, blue heron, coots, white and brown pelicans to name a few. We thought we would see alligators but none were to be seen.
