Moved to Draper to get some work done on our Excursion. The work needed was written up on Wed. We had the coach at the gate by 8 AM so work could get done in one day. The 5 or 6 tiles that needed replacing turned into an all day project. So General RV ran a power cord out to the road and we spent the night camped on the side of the road. ...

We had enough Filipino jokes to make Grandpa Taba happy.
Only thing missing was Uncle Paul, Uncle Joey and their families. Maddy was on a mission so she was excused. A pot of Grandma's spanish rice and a few lumpias wouldn't have been bad.

... they came to pick us up Scott was upright. We were able to find an incredible bike shop. He had tires and fixed Scotts' gears. Scott had bent the derailleur when he ran into me back in Missouri. He had to stop at the bottom of some hills to manually put his chain into low. No wonder he stroked out. Scott told Mike at the bike shop how difficult we found Kentucky to be. He said, "everyone thinks they can ride 60 miles a day through Kentucky, ya just can't". Well ...
... It's too much of a harsh place. I could ride a bit and then the temperature would change. I'd have to stop and take off some of my clothes so I wouldn't get too hot. It sounds easy enough to be riding downhill in the canyon but some of those curves are just too much of a steep descent and you have to watch yourself. Riding through an urban area like SLC and its suburbs, and you're in a valley, no steep elevation or desert. But the suburbs are large and full of ...
... took (he did not bring enough water with him and ended up drinking from garden sprinklers on the way back down - I think the altitude got to him). Also, as we were celebrating Pioneer Day, we visited Matt and Lynn, who live close by, for a family gathering. We really enjoyed that and brought some of our Alaskan catch along with us to share out.
