... disoriented as we walked to the Paul Laurence Dunbar house (a poet and high school friend of the Wrights), stumbled into a massive car show at the Carillon Historical Park, and drove all the way across town to see the Huffman Prairie Flying Field. Along the way we caught glimpses of the University of Dayton, Wright State University, and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. All of it was mildly interesting, and yet nothing stands out.

We are in OHIO for four days. Today we were included in Bill and Sandy Sowers’ family get-together POOL PARTY in honor of the Labor Day weekend. Wow! It was SO MUCH FUN being included so graciously in their lovely celebration. Bill and Sandy are parents of Sara Sowers Collison, our neighbor in Cheyenne. We have spent time with Bill and Sandy in Cheyenne and now in their native Ohio.

... the door and there is a second door, that won't open till the first one closes and locks and the bank employees can lock you in between the doors if you look to be a threat! Same thing on the way out...two doors and the second only opens when the first is closed and locked behind you. ... far, Michigan and Ohio drivers all seem to want to be first...Yesterday, as we were driving around Detroit was a nail biter...people drive so fast and most don't use signals. Guess they got the discount cars that don't have signal lights! We typically don't travel on Interstates but we are headed for Dayton and want to have time to go see the museums that Ron has on his bucket list...All the Wright Brother Air museums... ... present. It was surprising to see so many British Aircraft, including a rare Bristol Beaufighter. There was also a missile silo-like building housing quite a few rockets. Side exhibits included the Aviation Hall of Fame and a chance to fly a space shuttle simulator (which couldn’t be resisted)!
