Tomorrow, I will really be going all out roadtripping. The plan is to make it to western South Dakota, about a 14 hour drive (yikes). But I'm really looking forward to exploring a part of the states that I really haven't explored before. I'm afraid that I might not be able to connect to the Internet and blog while I'm out there, but I promise that I will catch you all up when I can! So wish me luck over the next couple of days! ... Chicago. Only I went up in the 94 stories in 40 seconds elevator to the John Hancock 360 Observatory and went on the Tilt - where you stand in a glassed area within the windows, which tilts 30 degrees down to give you a spectacular view of Chicago. Amazing. :) We're in New York... Finally - another long wait for the shuttle bus and a forgotten reservation at our hotel. But it's all sorted out and we're good to go :) M&M ...

Some slightly bemusing things were the coral reef exhibition - a big fish bowl with so many fish swimming round it it made you dizzy, and a 4D cinema show, based on Ice Age, without a fish in sight. All in all the Shedd's a nice walk about for free but we probably would have been rather cross at spending $36, and an hour and half ...
