    ... a hiking type backpack, and my weekender canvas bag....for 2 people for 6 weeks. Amazing.
    The other thing that worked so well for me was compression bags. Oh my goodness...these were a game changer! I bought some from Travelsmith that were very durable and worked wonderfully. They can be "vacuumed" to get the air out but since I never had a vacuum I just rolled them for compression. I had no trouble with wrinkled clothes and the bags helped me to keep ...

    ... they are sort of pooh-poohed because they are
    1. bulky and take up a lot of room in a suitcase
    2. they take a long time to dry if you do wash them

    I thought about wearing jeans on my flights but you know...sometimes jeans can get decidedly UNCOMFY when sitting for a long period? You following? Probably nodding your head.
