this mini-Vegas in the hills (without the gambling) is worth the trip

Today was our last day in Branson and we're sorry to say goodbye. The day started off sunny and bright once again. We have had exceptional weather this whole trip so far. No rain since a little bit on our first day. It's been really warm, in the 90s every day, but there is no humidity so it's not bad. We started off with a 'Breakfast with the Stars' here at the resort. ...
... 66, and drove for several miles along that famous highway. 2 more states added to our list.
We finally got back to Branson in time to hit the Legends in Concert show at Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater. On stage were Johnny Cash, Celine Dion, The Blues Brothers, The Temptations and Elvis! It was a really good show and the performers were terrific (except for Celine, who had a good voice but did a really bad job of impersonation).
... Boys, Elvis to The Four Seasons, The Temptations to Michael Jackson and The Mammas & The Pappas to Justin Bieber. Sometimes you totally forgot that there was no actual music being played and what you were hearing was all created by them. Totally amazing! They ended with a set of gospel songs, sung totally a cappella that was so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes.
