    Day 2:
Like yesterday, we managed to get an early start although the complimentary Holiday Inn Express breakfast did delay us until 7:30. Not quite the 5:30 I was hoping for, but we were up and on the road... that's all that counts. The morning was mostly comprised of endless miles of driving through un-notable landscapes. We stopped for lunch …

It is now 3:30, the tour is finished, we've spent money, and now we're on our way to Tipton, MO to visit the Dutch Bakery, AGAIN. That Amish bread will pull you in every time. We sat around for a while then we noticed we had no service on our phones and were unable to get internet on any of ...

... the weather and so far nothing until late tomorrow. By that time we will be safely set-up outside of Hannibal, MO.

Made a short trip to Walmart (after all it's been a couple of days). I've been craving BLT's ever since we bought the Amish bread and fresh tomatoes. After lunch, we drove around Sedalia's Historic Downtown. Not really much to see since everything was closed, even the Welcome Center! Then we drove out to Bothwell Lodge State Historic Site. This family had a ...

... until close to time for the fireworks. We were going to sit in front of the coach and watch them, but decided we would not be able to see anything, so we walked around to the campground entrance where we could see better. I remember as a kid going to the fireworks and hearing all the "oohs" and "aahs" but not now. I told Bob I thought it might have something to do with where we are, I'm sure the bigger cities have much more money to ...
