Today the journey began! My mom and I drove to Kansas City in order for me to board my flight early tomorrow morning. It took a while to get going because I kept remembering last minute things, and even when we got to Kansas City we had to make several emergency supply stops because apparently I forgot to pack my brain (my mom was thrilled about this). However, all worked out and we ended up getting to ...

... we will be doing over the next 13 days.

Also, once I get home from this trip, I will have to finish out my Guatemala blog. It was a CRAZY 5 days that I had between my trips. We even ended up recording in the same studio, and we live on the same street, but on the opposite side of town. Pretty crazy. Israel said he encountered a man while on a music trip to Chicago who introduced him to Christian rap. Israel was skeptical at first but he said he likes to be open to all kinds of music. He said ...

... my arm to take the pressure off my rotator cuff. The shoulder pain subdued around the 2.5km mark, but other pain set in. I had nothing left in the tank. The right knee stopped hinging like it should and my calves served little purpose. Fortunately, I had something to take my mind off it. I met up with a local guy in a pink trisuit. He wanted to know what distance we were at (my Garmin tracks distance travelled). I told him we were at the 3km mark. Before ...
