Another good sleep and I actually knew where I was when I woke up! Really nice to have a slow down day yesterday, putting us in the mood for Sea World today. It was only a short drive down highway 4 and we had a meal booked in at the whale stadium for the evening so we didn't want to arrive too early, so we had time to chill and swim in the pool. Today was planned as a rest day, so we slept in, had a swim, and a big home cooked breakfast. This took us until mid day! The afternoon was more swimming - in the rain as another big lightening storm passed over us, DVDs and the odd snooze. ... to the bag check bit and suddenly the American anthem started playing and all the staff stopped, put their right hand on their chests and proceeded to sing along. Slightly weird! We then picked up our 'front of queue' wrist bands and headed for Cheater, one of the main roller coasters. ... fact that they fly the state flag everywhere and the Lone Star is mounted in many places, on buildings, fences, posts, signs, houses…everywhere. The people are pleasant and friendly and polite. The earth is fertile for plants and animals, and teeming with oil and gas. And it seems clear that there is a lot of prosperity in Texas.
