Yesterday was a very long and busy day. The previous night, we had made plans to cruise the locks with our new friends, a big advantage for us since were newbees to the Tenn-Tom. We all wanted to go down as many locks and latitudes and as possible to find warmer weather, bluer skies and the great big ocean. ... them a bit. I see jackets in some of the pics so it might be on the cool side. You can tell that the water is cleaner and calmer here....hope that trend continues. The winds have not been in their favor so all of today was motoring.

... over to visit from another boat who had left their boat for awhile and returned to continue on south. They are on a 42' Grand Banks trawler and were going to leave about 10 am the next morning with the same destination as us, Pirates Cove marina. Looks like we are going to have new buddy boaters again.

The next chapter will be from here at Columbus marina to Pirates cove.
