      Today was supposed to be a rest day, but we decided to deviate from the programme for the first time.       ... was the only adventurous one, choosing a bison burger. Following an exploration of the local "rock" shop where you could find every stone and fossil imaginable we discovered the "Fudgery" where some people indulged in candy apples or other scrumptious concoctions. We then headed back to the car and drove to the Banff Springs Hotel before stopping at the Bow Valley Falls. There we watched the raft tours head down ...

      ... s passport picture was not good as she was smiling and her teeth were showing, a no-no on a Canadian passport. The agent gave us her card and sent us out for a new ones and to return them to her when we returned. After a bit of searching we found a place that could do new photos and then headed back to the passport office. Yes you guessed it, we walked right in and although busy, she helped us right away. So impressive. Now on the the next task.

      ... Buffalo Wild Wings, which is looking like the first beer pit stop of this trip. With the cars cleaned and gassed up we head for wings. I have to say, we are getting way to good at this road trip stuff :)
      Jim has a little case of the Mexican flu I think, so it's retire to the hotel time and a chance to chill and blog . Chill is right! Holy.. ****! I cranked the AC to 62F in the room .. brrrrr! Lol

      ... was to put it mildly. I am pretty sure I was dressed and hair done AS I ran up the stairs to the childrens' rooms. I am quite sure that I promised a number of incentives if said children would dress at the speed of light, managed to explained terminal velocity AND somehow got rice crispies into kids all within 10 minutes. Heck…we even managed to get Avaia into the car WITH clothes on. I'd say I deserved a ...
