Our hotel was a short drive to Redondo beach and about a 15min walk to Hermosa Beach.
We drove down to Redondo Beach Pier & Boardwalk. They had a lot of food & drink options, a kids arcade and fresh live seafood to buy.
We had a walk around then had lunch at a little bar on the water. This was our first introduction to free soft …

... Tuesday, ringing in the New Year in Eastern, Central and Mountain Times. That closed our trip and we were home by New Years day, where squirrels had been vacationing in our home while we were gone. All in all it was a great adventure celebrating my MBA and our engagement. We drove over 1,600 miles and traveled a total of over 6,000 miles. We were happy to be welcomed home by family, friends and not to mention Gracie, Zeppy and Elsa! Until our next adventure.....

We were feted at Spago, "the flagship of Wolfgang Puck's dining empire.". Stupendous food, fun company and this is what I learned: The M embroidered on our elegant bed bolster in our room is not for Montage ... it's for Martin. The Levines' bolster has an L, the Burns' a B. Over the top.

It was an amazing week. Happy to be heading home. Love to all, Georgia

There's huge amounts if work to make the area clean everyday - community service picking up rubbish etc. Really difficult not to start handing out money, but I was afraid if I started I wouldn't stop & there were so many of them - in a country that has so much. Anyone who's travelled to Indo with me know my usual moves to try to help out - this too big for me. Anyway back in denial land we went back to the Pier for a ride on the ...

... live bands on and margaritas for $3 so I was pretty much in heaven. The bar was filled with real Cali boys, tanned guys with backwards caps- I felt like I was in the beach bar on 90210. We met some guys from Florida who were a lot of fun, and two English guys; Jono and Ben. We all ended up going down to one of the lifeguards huts and singing along to Cobi's harmonica. Jono and myself took a starring role in the ...
