It ended with another security check where they temporarily confiscated our phones, probably so they could plant a bug to track our movements in the Homeland. Or more likely, laughing at my music choices and photographs. Finally they ushered us into the gallery of the senate. It was instantly recognisable. My favorite piece was all purple and based on Romulus and Remus (Rome's foundation myth) and I took a video of it (accidentally erased) and there's no image available online. Deep breath... there will be more ...

Total Miles Driven so far = 5860! Whew We need a rest day, or as we call it, a "SlugBug" day.

We are sitting here in an overcast day, after 3 days of heavy rains, eating fresh Blueberry Blue Corn Pancakes made with berries we picked ourselves a few days ago in Minnesota, and blue corn flour and pecans we bought last spring in New Mexico. Yep, I love traveling. Note - we skipped the chocolate factory yesterday on advice of our ...
