We are expecting some friends from Covington GA on Friday. We plan to go with Ellis and Carol Dunbar to Boone on Saturday. It should be a nice trip. I'll send pictures.
Beautiful day to get Rhiannon scrubbed and polished. Sun is shining on boatyard and channel is sparkling. Lots of boats traveling south, hopefully we will catchup to them soon. After lunch in Cherokee, on the other side of the Smokies, we drove into North Carolina, our 12th state this trip. Late afternoon, we made it to Lulu's brother's house just outside Charlotte and then had dinner with him and his wife Lisa in Charlotte.
After dinner, we drove on for another half hour to Kannapolis.

over to the scenic overlook for some pictures then took the Mountain
Loop Trail around the summit to meet up with the Morrow Mountain Trail
to head back down. It was just as difficult going back down - this time
