Today started off as a lazy, at home, day and ended with a few delightful surprises. We spent the morning reading and snacking and lounging. Then came our first pleasant surprise. Our hostess Barb, who is currently fourth in the nation for an event called “Combined Driving,” invited us to ride on her show carriage. As history buffs, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to visit the Historic Lexington Cemetery. We saw many interesting monuments, including old family crypts built in to the side of a hill. After looking at hundreds of headstones, Eric decided he wants a simple grave marker.
