... then decided to abandon that stopover. We headed out about 4:35 pm after discovering that Elizabeth was in need of a new rear tire. 40 km into the ride, the sky lit up with bolt and sheet lightening and we headed for the first gas station in Fenton, Louisiana which provided shelter during the subsequent downpour. The building shook with the thunder for 15-30 minutes. We were finally able to get back on the road by 6:03 ...
... that we actually had a decent shower for the first time in days. Eager to get off the interstate we set the GPS to a more scenic route so that we could drive through the small towns of Louisiana. Sherry, the good person that she is, tried explaining the math, but they insisted. $14. Ok. Thanks. We like Louisiana math but I don't think I should try using it at work! ;-) Early night tonight. Long road trip tomorrow, will be gone by daybreak. Next stop, Roswell, New Mexico! Will be on the lookout for aliens!!! Thanks for ...
