... times, it's often hard to leave. Especially when the weather's finally become perfect

But whatever is lost during travel, much more is gained. I've never regretted going on a trip, even with all the challenges and highs and lows. The only regrets in life are the missed opportunities, the places not seen, the roads not taken.

So in that spirit, I'm ready for this adventure to begin. China, here I come!

Hey hey--dropped the puppies at the sitters --what a wonderful place for them great people really lucky!

... A toilet comment from Sioux. I don't know about the gents but there is a marked difference in the ladies loos in Canada when you've become accustomed to the US. Perhaps it was because we spent our time in big cities, but every toilet I visited in the US ( and there were quite a few) was spotless, with automatic everything - flush, soap dispenser, tap and hand towel dispenser- the sort of place where you'd be happy to sit awhile and have a little sing. Cosmopolitan, cultured and sophisticated, Greeks to the left, Jews to the right and French down the middle. Organic, cycle friendly, hippyville! We lucked out with the apartment in Mile End, literally in the middle of shops, restaurants and bars.
