October 27, 2009<br><br>We left Boston after a relaxing visit and spent the day driving, in the rain, intent upon getting around New York. With good instructions we managed it to skirt the city and probably a good bit of the normal traffic but it was still a most stressful outing and we were both happy to get off the road, out of traffic and out of the rain for the evening near Mt. ... SO WHEN WE ARRIVED IN NEWARK TO PICK UP OUR NEXT CAR FOR OUR TRIP TO PA, WE HAD HIGH HOPES OF OUR CLUB 1 MEMBERSHIP WORKING THIS TIME. NOT !!!! NO CAR, BUT THIS TIME WE DID GET AN SUV INSTEAD OF A SUB COMPACT, BUT 20 MILES INTO OUR TRIP THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT WENT ON, SO WE PULLED OFF AND FILLED ALL 4 TIRES WITH AIR. 20 MORE MILES THE LIGHT WENT ON AGAIN.....WE PULLED OVER AND CALLED HERTZ. THEY WOULD HELP US FIND A TIRE STORE ...

I am going to a country where I do not speak the language. But the fear of traveling to Central America that I had the first time is gone. ... sure enough, we showed up later in the evening to donate our blood! We went through all the paperwork, and donated simultaneously. It was actually kinda fun! I sipped two cans of Sprite and ate a few cookies while I saved a life.<br><br>We felt a little light-headed and very fulfilled :)<br><br>Well, tomorrow's our day off! We'll sleep in a little bit and head to New York (yikes, that could be crazy)<br><br>g'night!

This [extended] weekend, we're staying in a wonderful little motel--family owned, specializing in extended stays. So we have a little kitchenette, and a separate bedroom. How refreshing it is to say "Hey I'll be in the other room"<br><br>We're in the quaint little Pennsylvania town of Mohnton, and we're staying here just in time for the annual Pumpkin parade!<br><br>It was fun! ... we got back to the room and went out onto the patio that afternoon, though, we were shocked to see that the pool was PACKED!  There were hundreds of kids and adults alike swimming and splashing around.  We decided to skip the pool and just relax in our rooms since it was so crowded.
