Hershey, Pennsylvania, United States ericaleeOctober 27, 2009

We left Boston after a relaxing visit and spent the day driving, in the rain, intent upon getting around New York. With good instructions we managed it to skirt the city and probably a good bit of the normal traffic but it was still a most stressful outing and we were both happy to get off the road, out of traffic and out of the rain for the evening near Mt. Holly, New Jersey.

October 28, 2009

A good night's sleep and happy to have ...

I am going to a country where I do not speak the language. But the fear of traveling to Central America that I had the first time is gone. A fear I am sure some of my 30+ colleagues that are joining me are thinking about this week. Along with many other thoughts: How can I manage my ...

Lancaster, Pennsylvania, United States lancasterpahote... we got back to the room and went out onto the patio that afternoon, though, we were shocked to see that the pool was PACKED! There were hundreds of kids and adults alike swimming and splashing around. We decided to skip the pool and just relax in our rooms since it was so crowded. After an hour of lounging around we decided to head out to the Rockvale Outlet Center, which was just as far as the Tanger Outlets but in the opposite direction down Lincoln Highway ...
Lancaster, Pennsylvania, United States babieemelly... playing miniature golf and she loved it! It was so cute watching her try to sink the ball and then seeing how excited she got when she finally succeeded! All day had been humid and rainy and at the sixteenth hole (out of eighteen) there was lightening in the sky every few minutes. One of the employees told us that a storm was coming up from Delaware so we tried to finish up quickly. I kept my red ball (I always do, it's a souvenir!) and then we headed across the street ...
Lancaster, Pennsylvania, United States babieemelly20 days and counting... I bought my main piece of luggage for this trip. It only took 1½ hours at downtown Portland's REI store. After talking with Chuck, who just got back from spring semester in Sevilla, he suggested I buy a backpack instead of bringing suitcases. The cobblestones in Europe look nice, but rolly suitcases aren't meant for anything but nice, flat airports and roads. But you should have seen me; I was really into ...
