... in the parking lot accepting donors. So, with some initial reluctance, Kelsey and I signed up for an evening slot. Neither of us had given blood before, so we were a little nervous. But Kelsey wanted to give blood, ever since being inspired to do so through some episode of Extreme Home Makeover. And it's been something that I've wanted to do before I die. There's no good non-medical reason not to, right?

This [extended] weekend, we're staying in a wonderful little motel--family owned, specializing in extended stays. So we have a little kitchenette, and a separate bedroom. How refreshing it is to say "Hey I'll be in the other room"

We're in the quaint little Pennsylvania town of Mohnton, and we're staying here just in time for the annual Pumpkin parade!

... team. Our new schedule will focus us more in Maryland, as well as dipping us into Virginia in December. Sure, we'll have moments of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, but not nearly to the degree of our current tour.

So! That's an exciting change! We'll get to work with some Christian youth (actually more than once--there's another YFC event in Maryland later in the semester), and dodge some December snow.

Hey everyone! We've spent our weekend in Pennsylvania. And y'know, it's been really refreshing. Our hotel is on a pretty secluded exit off the highway, without many convenient amenities. But we've liked it! It's very quiet out here. The culture of Pennsylvania seems a lot slower than New Jersey. A lot more laid back.

Saturday was a beautiful day, so that afternoon we went out and played catch on the lawn for a while. Then we went and sat in our van ...

... all the chocolate learn how chocolate is made by hoping on the moving car and watch the interactive presentation. Then follow the path to find you chocolate size and enjoy the rest of the day in Hershey’s amusement park.

Our stay in the Hershey, PA hotels was so relaxing and we felt like we were at home. I hope this article can help you when you stay in Hershey PA.

... we got back to the room and went out onto the patio that afternoon, though, we were shocked to see that the pool was PACKED!  There were hundreds of kids and adults alike swimming and splashing around.  We decided to skip the pool and just relax in our rooms since it was so crowded. After an hour of lounging around we decided to head out to the Rockvale Outlet Center, which was just as far as the Tanger Outlets but in the opposite direction down Lincoln Highway ...

... playing miniature golf and she loved it!  It was so cute watching her try to sink the ball and then seeing how excited she got when she finally succeeded!  All day had been humid and rainy and at the sixteenth hole (out of eighteen) there was lightening in the sky every few minutes.  One of the employees told us that a storm was coming up from Delaware so we tried to finish up quickly.  I kept my red ball (I always do, it's a souvenir!) and then we headed across the street ...

20 days and counting... I bought my main piece of luggage for this trip. It only took 1½ hours at downtown Portland's REI store. After talking with Chuck, who just got back from spring semester in Sevilla, he suggested I buy a backpack instead of bringing suitcases.
