Love the HIE. It is consistently clean and comfortable. The staff goes out of their way to welcome you. The beds are firm, the bathrooms large and the room itself, a very comfortable size. Breakfast is plentiful with fruit, omlettes, biscuits and fabulous cinnamon rolls. Great coffee. All in all, a lovely experiance

... great. I really liked the history of the company. We were also very impressed with the companies efforts towards reducing their carbon footprint. They have the largest private solar panel installation in the state.

We got to taste all of the current offerings and learn about their specific qualities.

We rode 207 miles today, but I would have rode another 207 to finally get to Chico and my favorite brewery.

... the next day, and we change to get ready for the softball game at 8pm. Apparently it’s really relaxed and they all drink out of their “red cups” whilst they play. Playing softball and drinking sounds like a disaster to me, but we decided to get involved. So we stopped at the liquor store on the way to the game and get some of our favourite “Lime-a-rita’s”.

We get to the game, and I see some people ...

We (my friend Linda and me and my two cats, Buster and FlipperDoodle) stayed here for a few days to visit with my great buddy, Marilyn, and her mom. My daughter showed on Saturday with a UHaul (Pentske truck) with her load from Alameda and we (us and friends Kathy and Jeff) topped the truck off with the last of my belongs ...

After we took pictures we hung around for a while longer talking to Katie while Iris played and Dean went to check out some of the cows. Afterwards we went out for some yummy tacos at Sol relieved that we were able to get some pictures taken and the kids could get as messy as they wanted now.

We ended up having a really nice time that week. We ...

Savannah reunited with her true love and moved to Yosemite.
She came back to get her stuff and to help me celebrate my birthday.

Its really warm in Butte County. Today I think it was 72 and I hiked and laid in the sun on a grassy slope under oak trees like the landscapes you usually only see while driving I-5 through North Central California. It feels really special to be part of this landscape rather than just flying past it, marveling, in a ...
