Then, when we got to the hotel, we noticed that the ice chest was leaking water. Turns out the plug had not been put back in when we emptied out the water this morning. Had to practically unpack the van (not easy, since it was piled full of souvenirs) and put up the seat to dry it out.
Our worst day by far. But we are dry now, and full from a steak at Texas Roadhouse, so all is good again......
... up is safe and someone will discover it's lost, send it back to Hugo, and they can ship it out again.
The shows were amazing...let's just say that Columbus loves its circus and we met oodles of amazing and friendly people who were so excited we were there. I was only able to do face painting in between shows and ended up with such a long line waiting, I almost didn't make it back to the front gate to take tickets in ...
... plugged in the electricity, and I was set to take a walk around the small fishing pond before dinner. Interesting campground -- mostly huge RV's crowded into a small area, most people are inside their vehicle. The only family I saw cooking outside via wood fire was in a rented RV. Then again it is a campground right off the freeway and perfect for those just passing by like ...
It's been slightly sprinkling as we traveled across 252 to 31. We stopped 9:15 a.m. at Edinburg / Taylorsville and got breakfast at McDonald's before we got on I-65.
We weren't too far down the road when we ran into major traffic congestion. It was around 10:00 a.m. somewhere around Indiana mile marker 46. We couldn't tell if it was road construction or an accident causing the delay.
