We started off in the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park, named in honour of the Queen Mum, and after seeing downtown and stopping at the waterfront, we journeyed to Stanley Park, recently voted the best park on the planet.     ... got made to walk the plank but got out of it by doing a pirate dance for the whole boat. Very embarrassing, very pleased I didn't know anyone, or that the were no hot pirates or mermen. The map and treasure were found and beano got to fire the water cannon at the naughty pirate. Beano got loads of gold and treasure from the treasure box pulled from the sea. What a fab afternoon.     ... there. They were orphaned bears and deemed not releasable as their chances of surviving in the wild were slim so they created this sanctuary for them. They were just so cute and both had their own personalities. There is so much to do at Grouse Mountain like take the sky-ride and chair lift, eat "beaver tails" and they also have a lumberjack show which is pretty entertaining.     ... season will soon begin. We wondered if it wasn't for the cruise ships coming through how do their people survive. There were many shops selling some beautiful diamonds......on our trip their were a couple whose daughter had given birth to a son, so one diamond ring was purchased from our group.
