After staying up all night packing and re-packing, I'm filled with a mix of emotion. On one hand, I'm so excited to travel and experience sights, sounds, flavours, and cultures that are new to me. On the other hand, for the fist time I'm actually nervous, this is the largest adventure I've ever attempted! As well I'll have never travelled this far on my own. ... floatations suits we boarded the 20' Zodiac (which is powered by twin 200 hp outboards). The skipper (Ryan) was great, very knowledgable about the ocean and the wildlife in and around it. The first port of call was to find a Bald Eagle, once we discovered this we were off out to sea at about 60mph, this boat really does get up and go. The hotel was very comfortable and although we tried to order Chinese food from a restaurant located in the USA (due to confusion) we settled in fine. We decided our first dinner was going to be Indian food from Ginger Indian Cuisine a short walk from the hotel and was of very good quality.

After a fantastic night's sleep, thanks to the aircon in our room, we awoke to an overcast but still warm and humid morning.
Wayne had spotted a bakery from our balcony the previous evening so we decided to check them out for breakfast. Everything looked so good, and our selections tasted fantastic. We then headed on down Bute Street towards the waterfront, stopping at a 7-Eleven to buy some water and a book of Translink faresaver tickets. A book of 10 one zone tickets ...
Eric is sleeping in the new hotel he moved to after the conference - it's 5:31 PM in Vancouver and boy is it a beautiful day.
