The sun did not appear as predicted. It tried a few times but was not successful. However, I headed into Algonquin Park anyway and hiked around Peck Lake and checked out a few other trails, despite the horrible condition of the trails due to the recent bad weather. It was hilarious watching her try to grab it and gave us and some other tourists a ...

... however, Ben and I found that it was more efficient to make two trips-- One trip with just the canoe, oars, life vests. The second with all the gear. So when I mention portage distances, imagine that we are
doing 3 times the actual distance because we are doing two separate trips!!!

... We were lucky enough to see one of Jason's projects, a cottage he had designed and built on the lake. We went up on Monday to go out on the boat but the weather had other ideas. The cottage was amazing and had just been sold for $3 million. It was nothing like a cottage at home. It was more like a mansion. We went to explore Gravenhurst and saw the steamships and got some lunch in Boston Pizza. We sat at the deck for a while back at the cottage and headed back to the house. ...
