          ... is very picturesque, and quite uneventful. Not much traffic for the first few hours, until we hit the main highway. 4 lanes, 8, 16. Official speed limit is 100; we're doing 120 and everyone's passing us! Courtesy on the road is non-existent, as is lane discipline, cars and trucks weaving in and out remind us of South Africa. We've been very lucky with weather conditions, and the run in to Toronto is clear and sunny.

          ... ceiling. The fireplace had been built by the Gibson brothers, so one side was neat and the other side messy - reflecting the personality of each brother. We saw the spot where mum picked blueberries, saw the bunkhouse that was built in 1935, the boatshed (on verge of collapse) and the icehouse.           Drove north of Toronto, past many lakes. Stopped for lunch at north end of Lake Simcoe. Later went to Lake of Bays in search of Kilgours' cottage, but were unable to find it.
