The trip across Idaho was uneventful, but a few miles after we crossed into Utah, the winds picked up and got heavier as we drove to Brigham City. Once we got on I-15, we were driving straight into 20 plus mph winds with 30-40 gusts. The winds are suppose to clam down tonight, but climb back up tomorrow so we will hunker down here for a couple of nights.
... We then checked out & wandered into town to look around while we waited for the tyre to arrive. Chris took Frankle to garage at 1 as we expected the tyre to arrive, I sat & chilled in sun until he collected me. 1.30 came & went still no tyre but at 1.50 the FedEx van pulled up with the tyre. ... the towns of Perry and Brigham City have a charm and wonderful depth of feel in their own rights. Oh yeah, it’s 100% free; all it cost is what your digital camera and lenses are worth, gasoline and your time. Open 24 hours, unless it’s flooded. I cannot oversell this place enough!

We drove into Brigham City and there were a lot of fireworks around us. Apparently it was a local holiday, Pioneer Day. The next day, ZACH'S BIRTHDAY, we strolled around Temple Square in Salt Lake City and listened to a tabernacle organ concert. Then we headed to Canyonlands. Was a BIG drive day today. We started off by visiting the Oregon Interperative Centre which was on the path of the Oregeon trail. It was one of those places i really wanted to visit and the others were just going along with. Turns out it was really good and everyone was impressed.
