Today sister, Diane and John invited us to go boating on the Sacramento River. Friends Mark and Kathy were great hosts. Mark is a professional wave board/barefoot skier . The guys did some skiing behind the boat. With temps around 100 we all (except Diane & Gerry ) took a few dips in the water off the boat along the way. We had to decide if we are leaving tomorrow or staying another day. ...

I asked what I should look for in a new bike and she suggested I consider a BMW 650GS. I took time for a great lunch at the Mom and Pop Diner with my friends Heather and Jiggs to finish my AMA experience. Then I headed for ...

The third and final day of the journey found us weaving again down streets of fog...this time, in Petaluma. As soon as we set off, the pannier on Sarah's bike fell off again, due to the bolt (holding the rack to the bike) stripping the lining and falling out. After lassoing a zip tie through the rack (to compensate for the lacking bolt), we were off for the next day's set of hills.

    Technically, with only ...
