    ... shop, general store, blacksmith and ice house all belonging to this entrepreneurial family. There was even a period when one of the clan, won national competitions for the quality of the pelts from his mink farm. A few furry remnants remain. I know fur coats are cruel and I suppose I’m glad they are no longer vogue– but they were also very soft and cosy!

    We made it to Maggie's hometown of Ainsworth around 5pm, and were welcomed by her brother Larry, sister-in-law Judy, and nephew Dave (affectionately known around town as Simp or Screech). Also, we were fortunate that the prevailing winds were from the south, so no nasty smells from the cattle feedlots north of town. We can only hope it stays that way.
