Drove 320 miles from Columbia, MO to Santa Claus, Indiana. As we were driving through St. Louis, we stopped at the Arch, which was right near the St. Louis Cardinals baseball stadium. Briefly visited the museum under the Arch, and then had lunch at Caleco's. Stayed at an adorable campground/RVpark called Lake Rudolph in Santa Claus, Indiana, which as you can guess, is a Christmas-themed ...

Food took forever to make, we ate it on a picnic table under the shade of a sour apple tree, perhaps the very one they wanted to hang Bert Cates ...

Paul & Deanna took us to a cave (www.bluespringcaverns.com) that is toured by boat. Something we had never done before. The cavern is in Bedford, about 40 miles from French Lick. We got there a little early so we bought a bag of dirt that have gems in them & Kaptain showed Amanda how to pan for them. She made a killing & ended up with a big handful of gemstones.

After that, it was time to go to the cave. The Tour Guide led us to the boat ...
