... the trail had become much busier so I was glad we had gone earlier because trying to pass people on rocks where the chains were was tricky sometimes. The hike down was a little easier but the steep parts really didn't do much for your legs besides causing them pain. Last stop back at Harrahs for duelling pianos and a sing along then back to the hotel before leaving Las Vegas in the morning after 2,375 miles in our Nissan Xterra, and put it together with last Summer's adventures we have Nevada, Phoenix, Utah and California now ...
While half of our group traveled to Utah, Kristin, Tym, and I walked around the Strip on Friday and did a but of gambling. I think I'm ahead so far by $20 or so. We also all earned $20 each by watching a pilot screening of a potential new show coming to TV in the fall. It was a quick and easy way to make $60!

... here the day my brother Bob/Cheryl flew in to escape the storms of northern MN. But before they arrived, my friend Sylvia took us under her wing (no easy task...she's as short as we are!) and made sure we saw some of the non-casino sites of Vegas. And wow! I had no idea about the mountains around here, nor how big the city is, the number of freeways, and how much traffic we'd experience. In short, I knew next to nothing about Vegas!
