Holiday Inn Exp Stes I 10 Las Cruces

We stayed at Bonnie and Sal's on Saturday and Sunday night. We had a great time, and hope that they will come to Michigan this summer. Bonnie is still the same, we laughed a lot. Salvador is a lot of fun, we drank beer and talked a bunch. They have such a nice house, Salvador has done a lot of work on it.<br>

Journée chaude et occupée. <br> <br>Première visite à Three Rivers Petroglyph Site.  Selon l'information qu'on nous donne, il y aurait plus de 25000 pétroglyphes à cet endroit.  Difficile à croire, mais enfin.  On marche un peu dans le parc et on prend quelques photos. C'est intéressant, mais seulement si on passe dans le coin.  Je ne ferais pas un grand détour pour y aller, mais ça dépend ...

Today I got my passport at the post office,it took us an hour to sign everything,the lady said in two weeks it would come but I got lucky and got it a week earlier,so mom worked another week then we started are trip first we went to Tuscon then California and then up to the mountains,any way it was fun but not fun getting pushed in with all the luggage next to me and almost hitting me in the head (we were going to Canada but we didn't have time). 

... the largest gypsum dune field in the world, is a one-hour drive northeast of Las Cruces. John did a solo hike in White Sands one afternoon and brought back amazing pictures (posted herewith). He was ill when he returned (too much heat, altitude and exertion), but responded to rest, hydration and food. John says that the sands appear grey in the photos due to underexposure. In actuality, the sand is blindingly white.
