... but as we got ready to go in we noticed Iris had a fever. So we ended up picking up yet another fast food meal and eating it in the camper.

Since Iris was sick, we decided to stay a second night so she didn’t have to ride in the car. Stayed in most of the next day, had a little picnic lunch, and made it out to a city park. The picnic ...

A view altered by the friendly faces of families that clearly have a history very different than ours. Yet, we laughed at the same corny jokes and we cheered for the same cowboys and cowgirls. A slice of life deep in the heart of Texas. 659 miles traveled today. Photos will be added upon my ...

    Abilene Texas/Bent Wheel Bash

A travel blog entry by loriwatkins on Mar 15, 2013

For the Bent Wheel Bash, there was camping on location available but nothing with hookups. Jeremy wasn't too keen on sleeping without air conditioning so we opted to stay in a hotel for this race. By next year we will have a generator to solve the AC without hookups issue. The race was good and everyone had a lot of fun. The course is at a police training center. I've never raced past fields of broken glass before, lol. The course is ...
