... Feast! Growing up in South Carolina, deep fried turkeys are the way to go and oh so delicious, but this year we braved the oven to cook this years Turkey and you know what....it turned out great. Along with the Turkey, we filled the table with green beans, mashed potatoes, stuffing, biscuits, and cranberry sauce. Well, on Sa************** to San Francisco to meet up with a friend before our flight to LA on Sunday and from there we're off to Fiji!! Keep you posted!
Lake Tahoe, Nevada, United States outbound5... divers in the ice cold water.....
We had a great time in great company for the whole day and Linda kept thanking them for "adopting us" for the night. We had dinner with Mark, Tricia, Nash and Jen which included Pizza, crab cakes, prawns and salads.
Everyone took the early night option to be in bed by about 10:30pm which is unheard of for us up until today....ZZZ's galore!
No chance to add pics as yet....maybe later so stay tuned.
... with lunch and liquor. We really enjoyed the tour (any time we can be on water is always a good thing!) and not just because of the drinks! Views of the surrounding mountains and beautiful Emerald Bay were top highlights.
One of the most scenic drives we did wasn’t along Lake Tahoe, but nearby Taylor Creek and Fallen Leaf Lake. At Taylor Creek, Kokenee Salmon were spawning and the creek was chock full of them. Fallen ...

... homes. On the way back down we stopped off at Inspiration Point overlooking Emerald Bay. It looked like a nice area with a few trails. When we got back to the hotel I did a bit of research on hikes and we decided to head to DL Bliss Park and do the Rubicon Trail which follows along the lake to Emerald Bay / Vikingsholm.
We packed our lunch and swimming gear and off we set the following day. It was a really great hike and most of the way you had views of ...
Da macht Urlaub Spaß, oder was?!
Als wir dann nach ewiger Suche unsere Behausung endlich gefunden hatten - der Parkmitarbeiter hat uns das Licht gehalten, damit wir wenigstens das ...
After Burning Man, we all needed some time to ourselves and some decompression. I joined two wonderful ladies I met at BM, Gwen and Liz, and we hit a hot spring just north of the lake. The Playa of Black Rock City sucks all the moisture out of everything, including you. You get what they call playa hair and skin, where every part of you ...
Lake Tahoe, California, United States brandonibologna... was nicer than other Embassy Suites we have stayed in, but it was busy and popular with families, so kids were running everywhere.
During our stay we took the paddle boat ride to Emerald Bay on the Tahoe Queen. Mark Twain and a few of his contemporaries joined us on the cruise and were eager to talk about their lives. Pretty interesting. The view on the cruise ...
We left Leslie's place at 3:45 a.m. Sunday morning with 2 snowboard bags (stuffed), 2 giant backpacks, 2 rolling bags, and 2 laptop bags. Our plan is to leave most of this stuff in Trae's parents' attic, and only take our backpacks the rest of the trip. But for now, we have taken over the condo. Tahoe is beautiful. There is still snow everywhere, going all the way down the banks to the lake. The weather is in the ...
Lake Tahoe, Nevada, United States backpachyderms... which was more than I expected. I hadn't actually slept the night before, not because we went out, but because my throat and nose were so clogged up that I could barely breathe and spent the whole night hacking my lungs out. Strepsils cough drops eased that enough by the flight for me to rest. When I woke up, I chose to ignore the in-flight movies because I couldn't really see the screen, and instead read while listening to in-flight music channels. I heard most songs on the two ...
