... I booked and bought a sandwich too while I was there. I saw there was a short walk near where I was, so I drove to the camp grounds just a little further down the road. Because this wasn't peak camping season, half the camp ground was shut. And the other end of the other camping area was where the trail started. There just wasn't time to walk across the closed part of the camp ground then the trail then back. This camp ground was on the water and ...

... the national parks northern boarder and that lead straight into Florida City, my stay for the next couple of nights. Of course the GPS running google maps kept telling me to u-turn back to the freeway. The biggest flaw with that app is you can't plan a route. It's point A to point B only. During the Civil War it was used as a military prison and you can walk around the fort at your leisure (which we did) or take a guided tour. Someone saw a small shark on our trip and apparently it is possible to spot Nurse Sharks and ...

Brenda and Kevin are a lovely couple and we seem to get on quite well with them so hopefully we'll get to see them on another trip and I did eventually have a dance with Heather and Tim just before I headed off to bed just after midnight.

... to chill for a while. After we got our **** together, we headed out for dinner in downtown Fort Lauderdale, to a place called the Royal Pig. It was a fancy restaurant, highlighted by the people in there (rich business men and their pieces of fluff/trophy wives). In saying that, the burger I got there was really good, but the highlight was the huge schooners that Jake and I drank our beers out of. We then continued on our night, by stopping at a pub with live acoustic music (which ...
