wasn't somewhere we wanted to stay overnight. So we headed to Fresno
and then stopped at a Pilot Truck Stop in Madera, just outside of
Fresno. It was chock full of trucks and we ended up parking on the
road outside. Thankfully I had the eye mask and ear buds to hide the
sound of a hundred idling trucks. They go all night long.
Surprisingly, we all slept ok.
I had full intention of driving down the Pacific Coast Highway to my hometown on the beach, but realized that Fresno was only a small detour away...which meant Clovis was a small detour away...which was the perfect excuse to drop in on Rich Fish (aka Fish Daddy, aka El Pescado Loco, aka #66). Lesley had prepared a fantastic vegetarian/vegan mexican spread for dinner. We had lots of catching up to do. The boys absolutely clicked with the girls which was just fantastic. They just hung out with them, talked, played Wii, just did what teenagers do. Excellent.
