... a major tourist attraction. At the back edge of the old stockyards was a railroad roundhouse area. If we had gotten to the area a little earlier we could have seen a cattle drive with long horns but due to the accident we were too late. From there we went to see a couple of mansions of cattle barons. Beautiful old homes that were probably out in the country when they were built – now they are right by the downtown skyscrapers.

I don't want to say Texas scenery is boring but Peg only took 48 pictures yesterday and 72 today. This contrasts to between 400 and 700 in some of the more scenic areas.

... help in the airport. One testy store cashier mad because all I had was a 50 for my bottle of water. It was all the ATM would give me. She says she gets that a lot at her store.
