... hand of those in each of your 4 cardinal directions. While this is a nice idea, it only accomplishes saying hi to those with whom you share a pew week after week. It stifles any opportunity for conversation as you only have enough time for 4 "hello"s and maybe a "welcome to church!" However, this church allowed a substantial amount of time for greeting. Everyone seemed to move from their seat and make an ...
Baltimore, MD, Maryland, United States mikeandkelsey... Friday night. Mom Domeny had given me an Olive Garden gift card, so we found the nearest one. We dressed up for an evening out and splurged at dinner. We had the gift card plus a lot of extra budgeted money for food. We took our leftovers and dessert home and watched the series finale of Monk.
Speaking of thoese leftovers, I think I'll go heat up some steak and grilled veggies, and have me some lunch.
Today Michael and I had quite a full day.
We're staying in Hampton Inn - F-A-B-ulous. They had a hot breakfast bar with more to eat than we could imagine. AND to-go breakfast bags in you're in a hurry. How great.
We had a show this morning. It was a difficult set-up that called on all our smarts. It was nice to have a challenge as we've been getting comfrtable in easy set ups. We had one trip up when ...
... to get ashore the next afternoon. It was a very long walk to the gate, we had to walk to the bow of the ship to the gang-way, then back along the pontoon to the cargo tunnel, then inside the tunnel up to the factory alongside the belts carrying the cargo (although they weren’t at the time as the crew were digging again), then right through the factory to the gate. This all took about 20 minutes and by the time you arrived ...
Baltimore, Maryland, United States patsypink... Thankfully we stopped at Panera when we did, or else we would have been hours away!
Since it was the first work day of the month, we did need to get our oil changed and mail our monthly paperwork. We just happened to pass a post office on the way back out of town.
Well... kind of a post office. It was a post office that shared space with an Eezy-Freeze or something... some run-down no-name restaurant. A woman was mopping the floor of ...

... the performances themselves were excellent. Silks, trapeze, lyra...all the apparatus (apparati?) that we use to fly. Highlights included an operatic silks performance in which the performer sang while suspending herself midair, a lyra performance to "diamonds are a girl's best friend" that featured the performer hanging upside-down by her sparkly red platform shoes, and a high-energy trapeze piece by the costumed "flying hate monkey" to the music "ding dong the witch ...
Baltimore, Maryland, United States laura99... true! It is all about Jesus and the unfathomable love He has for us. But let me run this slogan by you..."We are the Reason for the Season". Just a little bit different. But, is it not true that we wouldn't even celebrate christmas if it were'nt for us...and all the uncomforatble moments, piercing words, painful topics, unrealistic expectations, and difficult relationships that are often magnified during the christmas season?? Maybe this view ...
Middle River, Maryland, United States completelykate... I went to the Rodin museum and bumped into the Italian on the way. Finally I decided life was too cold and went back to the hostel and got myself a Philly Cheese Steak for dinner. After dinner I went for a drink with guy who worked at the hostel. The first place we went was a normal Beligan imitation pub. The second.... well it had graffiti all over the inside walls.... the beer was cheap tho! And so I finished my jaunt in Philly....
