    ... grateful. I love my house, my dog, my car. It's good to be back.

    It also makes me think about how long I'd need when revisiting a place - I'd say a full week in Argentina is fine. Two weeks and we could go to another city (Mendoza).
    A week was short for Santiago/Valpo. Three days was enough for Valpo but Santiago deserves some more.

    ... episodes, not sure if I really wanted to listen to everything. I ended about 2 hours from the Iowa border and was pretty bummed. Very engrossing if you haven't listened to it yet.

    I got in a lot later than I expected--almost 7:30pm. Luckily there was a Perkins like right next to the hotel so I ran over to get a salad. Meh. I had hoped that I could catch Expedition Unknown on the Travel Channel but no luck there. I fell asleep a little after 9.

    ... you want seats now, you have to purchase them. Otherwise you can go to the check-in counter and they will help you get seats." Yeah, but will there be seats together? She just repeated herself verbatim. Anyway, the purchasable seats started disappearing. We tried to purchase them - twice. It failed.
    So we called again and they said you can't check-in on line. They must have taken seat control at the airport. ...

    Had a nice swim in Lake Michigan near Chicago, huge lake can’t see the other side, there were large sand dunes and a small wave. Apparently a hippie in a combi does surf tours on the lake, but it just didn’t feel like the sea. Hils and I had several theories why not.
