    ... event for inmates which started in the 1930's and was held at an arena in a Huntsville prison. The event attracted performers as big as Dolly Parton.

    The next few days were spent living the college way of life, relaxing and enjoying some home cooking, which included Natalie teaching me how to cook for the southern boys.

    Unfortunately, the dream ended and the dreaded day of turning 28 ...

    Sarah Pipin arrived last night around 10:45 PM and joined us this morning. Sarah is a 25 year old heart transplant recipient. She had her heart transplant 14 months ago.

    Now, in our life experience in the past, a fire drill in the middle of January is one of the most cruel, cold-hearted, cold-bodied punishments a school could inflict on its students. But in Texas, it was a treat! It was nearly 70 degrees that afternoon, and the fire drill was a breath of fresh air to us. Then we all had to go back inside.... oh ...
