... Most go to see the major cities and the national parks all of which are impressive and admirable. Few ever wander unsupervised into the wilderness of crops that mark out the heartland. So we both retired in August but have been too busy to think about THE BIG TRIP. Also, going for 24 days involves a lot more prep. Finally relaxed and ready to switch to vacation mode yesterday. Turned on news to discover that travel to Australia is on Red Alert status due to ISIS threat. Gives real meaning to live each day to the fullest. ... ask at the desk. Choose clothing that goes together to minimize accessories needed. For this trip I am wearing black, white and blues. Only need black Skechers, black loafers and black sandals. Also realize you can't take 16 days worth of clothing so will have to do laundry, either in laundromat, hotel, or small loads in sink. We use the larger 5 quart ziplock bags to keep clothes neat; e.g. One for shirts, another for pants, skirts, unders ...
