It was a great 2nd day in the finger lakes! We started the morning by going to Watkins Glen State Park, which is right at the base of Seneca Lake. It was a beautiful hike along the waterfalls...we took the gorge trail north and then the Indian trail south. A very hot day, so a hike along the water in the shade was perfect! There is also an amusement park closeby where children can enjoy, and you also get to see a Big Golf Course, with people trying their shots.

After we checking in the kayak we had a Reuben sandwich and awesome sweet potato fries (crinkle cut, ...
... beyond the gorge. Shortly after that there’s an overlook directly opposite Lucifer Falls. It took us about 20 min to get to the end of the trail from there. The trail is pretty level after that so taking the Upper Gorge Trail CCW to the overlook (or as far as the staircase) will give you nice view if you can’t handle the climbing.
We made it back to the hotel and got cleaned up then drove a few minutes to Horseheads for a nice dinner at Louies Hanover Square. ...
