Although I have been on German highways before, I was previously near the Austrian Alps where there is a definite speed limit. However, this drive was the first time I experienced a section of the Aurobahn with no speed limit and we got up to 136 mph. We got into town around 11am and decided ...

... take it off completely to cool down a bit. A hood is preferable esp. if you skimped on a scarf. Secret pockets are always handy.

Long cotton pants in summer-time – multi-coloured or dark hides stains. Girls can wear stockings underneath if it’s a bit chilly. They are comfy and cool in the heat but also protect your legs from a bit of wind chill. Only need one pair.

Jeans/canvas pants in winter-time – Something thick and warm but not ...
