Phew... Going through US Customs was a bit trying... No searching but a lot of questions meant - I supposed - to catch us with something bad... Who knows. We did not loose any meal. We're in the middle of a fairground, with a weak WiFi but OK. The only analog TV channels are from Detroit but the Detroit area offers 22 digital channels, many

Longer day than expected but we grinded the flying condo to a halt. No problem other than a sticking lock on the propane door.

... diversion into Great Smoky Mountain National Park to see the fall colors. A week from tomorrow, we'll be back at our friend Pat's Place, in Webster, Florida, where warm weather awaits!

The colors have started to change up here - will upload a couple of pics taken today as we're traveing.

... I have for a while unless they can make them out of kimchi in Korea. My flight in wasn't bad, but I didn't get much sleep. Time to work on the TEFL though, so I will end my entry here unless something interesting happens between now and my flight, which isn't for 3 more hours! Sweet layover!

So much for not knowing anyone. Bill got a call from a friend yesterday who was talking to an acquaintance of his who was telling him about a cruise he was taking, and wouldn't you know it, it's the one we're on ...

After the wedding, I spent a few days down in Michigan. This was great for two main reasons. One, I got to spend time with my friend and two, I got to spend time away from my nephew. Now, I know I don't come out well from that statement but a break from, "play with me, play with me", was not an unwelcome thing.

Now, I'd love to say that we didn't just lie around the pool, watch lots of movies, eat too much and sleep most hours of the day. I'd love to say that......

London Ontario to Detroit city

Morning breakfast is served in the sunroom next to the lobby. They provide us with cereal, sausages scrambled eggs and toast plus coffee

We head off towards Detroit Canada is not much different in looks to the united states, except for a plethora of Tim Horton donut and coffee take always. We have also noticed take away chip vans next to service stations ...

... Suka and I had discussed when I would return. My ticket would have cost three times as much to come back Jan 2, 3, or 4. Coming back on Dec. 31 saved me another $300, which could have gone either way. When I told Suka that flying back on the 31st would get me Platinum status, she asked what that meant. When I told her that it would get us both confirmed upgrades several days in advance ...

I hope to get back to many of the lovely areas we traveled to and through on the weekends. I will miss my companion and Scrabble buddy on this trip. I will also miss my friends.
