... downstairs dining room was small but did not seem crowded and was decorated with old pictures animal heads and memorabilia from the late 1800’s.
For our meal Michael had a Buffalo Prime Rib while Val and Jack had the special for the night, a combination Buffalo and Elk tenderloins; all of our meals were delicious, and we had a great conversation with Michael.
... had a mini mass. After church we picked up a couple of things from Whole Foods Market so mum and dad could cook dinner. They made meatballs, they were really nice. Then we drove to a park with lots of Christmas lights and walked around in the cold looking at all the pretty lights. ... and Karen had both recommended Buffalo Rose for buffalo burgers. We decided to try it. We walked in to Buffalo Rose and much to our surprise it was kind of a dive bar. We put our trust in Shirley and Karen's recommendation and sat down. Well, we both agreed that we had the best buffalo burger we have ever had. YUM!
We then went back to the RV park and saw Nola and Stuart. We all shared our experiences of the day.
... and in suitably kitsch environment - good fun! On the walk back we saw a water rat swimming along side our path and a black cormorant having a bit of a wriggle in the cascading waters near the old railway and team bridges. Said our farewells with promises to keep in touch ..was so good to have proper company and acool person to see another side of Denver with..., Back home and rain n thunder started again as I pack and call taxi company to confirm booking . Off I go again ...
... loved. After looking at some sites, my dad made some reservations for nites after he would drop Olivia and I off at the ranch. Again to the library, this time in Durango which is a big new building overlooking the Animas River. Beautiful views of the people rafting by on the river.
Back to the trailer for dinner and a walk and then to my tent for a good nite's sleep to the sound of rain on the tent.
