Entered the Land Of Enchantment aka New Mexico
... before we went to see "Life of Pi" and learned where the park was where the race took place every August.
The movie was wonderful in every way. So beautifully and perfectly portrayed.
Dinner was Mexican again at Si Senor's. We finished with warm Sopapillas served with honey. Sabroso!
Tomorrow we'll be in Phoenix, Arizona at Kara's house.

How the Native Americans Lived 700 Years Ago!
We drove to Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument and hiked to the naturally-formed cliff caves where a group of 40-60 Native Americans lived from approximately 1270-1300 (tree trunks were used as supports, so with tree dating, archaeologists were able to pinpoint the time frame). They were hunters and gatherers, and it is believed they left after a long and severe drought. It was amazing to see their dwelling places within the cliff caves!

Many highlights in & around Silver City
