Historical Traveler Reviews of Holiday Inn Dallas Aristocrat
Very comfortable!
from traveler123la
It's too bad that some people had a "bad" experience here. I was researching many hotels in downtown for a long business trip and this one seemed to have everything I needed - 24hr gym, FREE wi-fi in the room, FREE shuttle service w/in 3 mi radius and the location was perfect!
The staff is very helpful and friendly. Room service, house keeping requests and maintenance requests were instantly addressed.
The room, spacious, clean and new.
I have nothing bad to say about this hotel and I would stay again - no question.
Indigo hotel poor choice
from ulta
I just returned from a trip to dallas. Our stay at the Indigo was Okay at best. When I arrived the check in was curb side and no place to park so I circled the block for about 15 minutes waiting for a space to free up but w/no luck. Two of the spaces were occupied by their own shuttles. In addtion, the weather was quite cold so the valets were inside and nowhere to be seen.
I parked on a side street and walked to the hotel in cold and rain where I was told I could not check in for 2 hours so I had a mediocre lunch at their cafe and waited until 3 to check in. I reserved a king suite about a month prior. I was given a room that was literally across the hall from 4 elevator doors. I requested another room and was told 2 different things. One was that they were all located across the hall from elevators or a little later I was told that the other rooms were already taken and this was the only king suite left. (Remember I was told I could not check in before 3 so I checked in at 3). They were several other problems including a technical problem that would not allow them to print room keys so I was escorted to my room and the gentlemen assigned to escort me was on the phone and could not hear me tell him he opened two rooms that were not mine one of which had a do not disturb sign on the door. I could go on but I won't. I would not stay at this hotel again and wouldn't recommend it.
Me he quedado alucinado.

Not what I expected

Well after reading the various good reviews about this hotel, I decided that this would be a good hotel to stay at with my fiance for New Year's weekend. Well, unfortunately we did not have as good of a stay as some of the other people in the past. I will have to say that the decor of the hotel is very cool. Everything in the hotel pictures is just as it is portrayed. Also, the hotel staff was friendly although not very welcoming, if that makes sense. The beds are uncomfortable to me. I know others have said that they were but keep in mind, I'm used to sleeping on a featherbed with down feather pillows. We booked the hotel through Orbitz because they were haveing a really good nightly rate for New Year's. We made sure to book a room with a KING bed. Instead we got a queen. The room that we booked was very small. The room I stayed in that was comparable in price in New York City was larger and I think that says something. Also the room we were in was originally intended to have an adjoining room so there was only a door that was between our room and the next room and the person next to us sounded like he was in our room with us. We could even smell his cologne, and I'm not making that up. After staying the first night, my fiance went down and told him that we had booked a king not a queen and they upgraded us to a junior suite with no extra charge for the remainder of our stay. The parking situation is ghastly. They use a separately owned parking garage across the street and you have to pay $6 everytime you leave during the week and $3 everytime you leave during the weekend and the hotel doesn't comp you for the parking charges. Personally I don't think that's fair if you have travelled by car to the hotel. The air conditioner wasn't working properly the whole time we were there and the coolest it ever got was 70 degrees. with it being 30 degrees outside mind you. ODD! Anyway, the toiletries are nice, Aveda brand and the coffee was pretty good as well even though I did get recycled sugar and napkin packets that the people before me only used part of. Other than all of that, not a bad place, I would just definitely like to see some things changed before I stay there again.
Letti molto comodi all'Indigo
from A TripAdvisor Member
Very comfy beds at Indigo

Recently stayed at Hotel Indigo Dallas Texas.Great hotel, and very comfortable beds.Staff were very friendly and accomodating. The area (Main Street) was fine, but not a lot to see, mainly offices,so we ate in the hotel mostly.A bit pricey, but the food was quite good. There was a free hotel bus,to take you anywhere within a couple of miles or so,which was very handy.
Would definately stay there again, but Fort Worth, about 35 miles to the west,is a much more interesting city to stay.
Fabulous Boutique Hotel
from Papdadio
The Hotel Indigo (property affiliated with the Intercontinental Hotel Group - Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza, Staybridge Suites, Candlewood Suites so they accept your Priority Club card) is a fabulous boutique hotel located on Main Street in Dallas, TX. It's a perfect place to stay when you want to enjoy the Deep Ellum entertainment district, the Farmers Market, and/or any of the downtown Dallas attractions.
The room's decor is trendy and inviting, the amenities are plentiful, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and the hotel's entire customer service focus is right on target. The Indigo Hotel also has a nice restaurant and bar that has received some good reviews from the locals and the tourist crowd as well. The Indigo Hotel is perfectly situated near to many iconic downtown restaurants (Main Street Cafe, Angry Dog Restaurant) and clubs (Gypsy Tea Room).
This is a must stay for a quick overnight stay after a night on the town or a long weekend when you want to make downtown Dallas your destination.
Must Stay for Ladies
from Travelingdames
My sister & I lucked out when we booked a room at the Dallas Indigo for a combined business/pleasure trip. The decor at this downtown hotel is nothing like the ordinary run of the mill beige and drab hotel rooms. We kept having to remember we were in a hotel and not a cottage. The lighting in the bathroom is far better than your normal hotels. You can actually see to put your makeup on without having to go to a window. The entire staff is friendly and accommodating and caters to women travelers. The location is in walking distance of several fine restaurants or if you don't feel comfrontable walking, the hotel shuttle is at your command! If you want a hotel experience unlike any others book your next stay here.
