It was a long day going from Muscat to Larnaca (Cyprus). I caught the bus back to Dubai at 3pm; then, after arriving in Dubai at 10, the metro to the airport; then waited for my flight which left at 6.30am. A long wait, but just not worth getting accommodation in Dubai. I arrived in Larnaca about 11 after an in-transit stop in Doha for 1.5 hours. (with a time difference of an hour). Then a bus into the city, found accommodation, had an early ...

... The Salad with Baked Goat Cheese, lettuce leaves, walnuts, dried figs, cranberry and honey vinaigrette accompanied by a balsamic vinegar was our second choice. ... I thought I was more prepared.. I mean I saved a lot of money these past 8 months but I don't think that will last me. Traveling to where I want to go is going to be difficult since well Cyprus is an island in the middle of three continents with the only way out is by plane and to get to the good places boy does it cost an arm and a leg! I miss all three of my houses. I miss best friends... I miss work. I miss my bosses. most of all I miss my ...

Most of the walled city of Lefkosa is like a Mediterranean village; streets are empty most of the day. Except for the tourist routes. But there are signs of "things that are going to happen or that might happen if you don't take precautions". There are chairs at the side of the road, but what time will someone come out of the house to sit and watch time float by? ...
