Our in-car navigation system had us turning off the Interstate and on our way to Starved Rock State Park which includes a rocky outcrop that overlooks the Illinois River. The park also includes a large lodge that has its history reaching back over 100 years to a time where getting there from Chicago involved ...

The only building to survive the fire was the Water Tower which is still standing today. (pictures in yesterdays post).

We went out for one more walk of the city before heading back to our room, cooking ourselves dinner and then sitting down to watch the NBA finals. Miami vs. San Antonio series level 1-1.

      Tomorrow we head to Indianapolis.
