This Holiday Inn was representative of the quality we expect from this hotel chain. Warmly welcomed at reception. Our room at the corner of the building had two large windows giving plenty of natural light. Spacious, clean room and attention to detail. Comfortable bedding and we enjoyed a full breakfast for a small extra charge.

Today was a day to give our legs a rest from long days meandering the theme parks. Over the last four days we had walked a total of 55,387 steps, a total of 42.2 kilometres. One way to get fit without even realizing it.
This morning we checked out of the Fairfield Marriott Inn, Anaheim, farewelled Nikki and family, and boarded a Super shuttle …

... But did you know NASCAR's cannot be run on a wet track surface. So after waiting patiently for the majority of the day, watching the rain get heavier and then lighter, we were a but guttered to hear that racing has be postponed until Sunday.

We unfortunately had a plane to catch to Dallas, Texas, no NASCAR racing for us :(
Oh well, got the t-shirt and the cap and a reason to come back! ...

... across the US). The day was a long drive taking more than 7 hours with only food stops. Charlotte is very busy at the moment as there is NASCAR racing this week and guess what! I am going to the race! Very exciting.

          ... but it was good.

We had a mostly good night's sleep, and got up early again. We had to eat breakfast, pack up and check out, and hit the road in time for Heidi to make her 1:15 pm Chemistry class in Mooresville.

We arrived in Mooresville in time to unload the car and take Heidi to class. We took her because at least one of our cars is not running ...
