Good hotel from the main Holiday Inn chain and pretty good it is too.

Nice large room, clean with plenty of freebies and the staff have been really helpful.

Wouldn't recommend spending too much on the food and drink though as it seems expensive and there's much cheaper places within yards of the hotel so why not have a mini adventure and see what you can find!

Well, we're here! After a long and slightly tedious journey we have arrived in the megalopolis known as Beijing. The trip was largely fine and between us we managed to watch The Big Short, the new Star Wars and I think Carolyn made her way through most of The Intern. In addition, we ate and drank everything that was offered to us with no issues …

Day 1 - My travel partner Monica and I set off on our journey to Asia, for our second time together, on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 from LAX. We left Los Angeles at 12:30 PM for our direct flight to Shanghai, China. We flew China Eastern Airlines which by all means I recommend. Very great service, good food, personal TV, and an overall spacious …

Day 5 - I'm not going to lie, when my alarm went off at 5:30 AM I was rather sad cause I definitely wanted to keep sleeping but what got me up was the fact that I was about to go see the Great Wall! We booked our Great Wall of China Tour online via a website TourTravelChina.com for $20 USD per person which was very worth it.

For three nights in a row, I visited The National Centre for the Performing Arts. It is one of the most beautiful buildings I have EVER been in.

The outside is an ingenious material integration of over 18,000 titanium plates and over 1,000 sheets of ultra-white glass, which creates a vivid visual effect as if the curtain is drawn apart slowly before your eyes. The steel-structured oval shell is ...
