This morning we went back to thee Amish Village and heard the Amish story from an Amercian person. Then we stopped in Gettysburg for lunch (french cafe).

... had us off the road until it calmed down. However, the wine and cider tasting at Hauser Estate made the trip worthwhile and the rain was forgotten. Leaving there we and stumbled upon a 100 year old round barn that supplied home grown produce so we stocked up for our evening meal....fresh peaches and fruit from their trees, local cheeses and meats and various coloured home grown tomatoes. Visited the Gettysburg National Military Park today. This consists of a great museum, a Cyclorama of the battle painted 10 years after the war by Paul Philippoteaux and the large battlefield itself. This morning's visit really challenged me. Initially I knew about Gettysburg, Lincoln's address and that there was a battle between the north and the south, but that was about it. I can't even begin to explain it more in detail on this blog, because it is very confusing for me. The more I learned, the more confused I got.
