We booked in as part of a tour package, so had no real say. Really glad the tour company did though.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the fisrt thing we were told is that we had an upgrade (probably helped we were staying Tue - Fri.

We enjoyed the pool, and the room was clean, welcoming and comfortable. And, if you do get the upgrade to a suite on the 20thh floor, the view is fantastic.

The only issue (minor unless you are a TV junky) is that the television reception did not always lock on channel, so you missed out on half a dozen channels. Oh and really convenient for Downtown Vancouver.

The location and space was great but the lobby smelled like bad cologne. There is a hotel and apartment type situation depending on what you rented. The wifi only lasts two days and you only get one device per room or it costs extra. A little outdated.

A great hotel! We were pleased to find a small kitchenette between the lounge & bedroom with an oven / cooktop / fridge and coffee machine. Bed was excellent with windows that open for some fresh air. Staff were particularly helpful. Short walk to Yaletown restaurants and the Davie Street wharf where we travelled to Granville Island. Modest walk to Gastown. Care re Hastings Street though - lots of dodgy characters! All in all our best accommodation so far.

The room was very spacious considering we had an upgrade however the Wifi was very poor and you had to pay for for wifi /internet service in your room. This left us in ICT wilderness

After the ferry arrived in Vancouver from Nanaimo mid morning, we made our way, dragging our suit cases through the streets, to our hotel the 'Rosedale on Robson' which is not too far from the harbour. We booked in and then set off to look at some of the local attractions. First a visit to the nearby Gastown and then onto the Storyeum where we …

Day 1: Arrived at YVR@ after another long Thomas Cook flight. Left 2 hours late as they had overbooked the flight, and only realized it when two people began fighting over one seat that they were both assigned to. Luckily a volunteer sat in a crew seat… poor chap! Upon arriving at YVR, I made way for the efficiently quick self customs for ...

Seeing as it has been a while since my last blog (three, four weeks maybe?) I have had to read back over the last couple of entries to refresh my memory of where I got up to and I can't believe how much has changed in such a relatively short time! That's not to say I started to enjoy my job – Hell no! - but the extent to which I settled in...

My last weekend in Vancouver. Unfortunately I have worked right up to the last minute which has limited what I've been able to do. I really wanted to get around Kitsilano and Downtown and take some more photographs, but I could spend weeks photographing this city. I will have to make do with what I've got.

Last night was the final night...
