We made it! We have just unpacked our suitcases and are in Central San Jose at the Aurola Holiday Inn. Initial impressions are that we won't be going out tonight as the streets seem to be busy but a bit risky. Everything has roll down shutter doors or large iron fences. We found a market a few blocks from the terminal to get some dinner and food for the road - little did we know there were two meals awaiting us on the bus. ... selling these long things which looked like long thick chips. I wasnt that good at spanish to ask what they were so i just went a pointed saying una! She said Ingles and i said yes she gave me one portain( six sticks) and i put sugar on them as i saw other people doing
They were very nice it was like donut dough in a long stick which was fried, I later found out by my nan that they were called Churrioes.
Then we went back layed by the pool that night we had dinner at me nans.
... of Puerto De Mazzron the temperture of the sea was perfect although it worried me a bit seeing a jelly fish in the sea.
We arrived at a bar on the beach right on a the corner where an island was sticking out and decided to sit there and have a drink. I ordered a Cevasa which is spanish for beer he had bit trouble understanding because i didnt pronounce it properly but i got what i wanted eventually.
